Monthly Events

      New Hope Clubhouse enjoys outings every month after scheduled Clubhouse hours to help encourage our membership to socialize and have new experiences. We may have an event where we stay within our Clubhouse and play games, crafts, movies, grill outside and/or venture out into the community for a variety of different events.

       Our social fund helps to pay for our outings. Our social fund money is collected from the money made through our thrift store and snack bar earnings or by any monetary, food or ticket donations from generous people or businesses within the communities with which we serve.  

       New Hope has two vans to offer transportation for members, including a lift van for all to attend the outings they want. We encourage all of our members to engage in the outings to gain more social experiences, increase their interactions both within the Clubhouse itself as well as to explore the community for activities that they may not be able to do on their own.  This builds their self-esteem, avoids isolation and encourages social interactions and acceptance within a public setting. 

        We also celebrate holidays on the actual day to assure members have a place of belonging, especially, if not meeting with family or friends for that special event.  If it is not a main holiday, we will host smaller events for the membership to engage in through a special meal or an end of day activity.
